Why one city first
A matching app only works when plumbers and jobs are close together. Spread thinly across the country, a job might find nobody free within reach. Concentrated in one city, it finds someone. So we're starting in Bristol and getting the local experience right before going further.
Starting in one place also means every plumber can be checked properly by a person, and we can listen closely to the first plumbers and customers and fix what needs fixing.
What launches
- Plumbers first. Other trades may follow as Fill My Day grows.
- An app for iPhone and Android, with separate sign-ups for plumbers and for people who need one.
- Every plumber checked by a person before they can reply to a job.
- Free for both sides at launch. No payments go through the app.

If you work in and around Bristol, Fill My Day is built for the afternoons that don't go to plan. Set a window when you're free, say how far you'll travel from where you're starting, and nearby jobs that fit come to you. Plumbers set how far they'll travel from wherever they're starting, so a job in Southmead can reach a plumber finishing in Henleaze, and one in Bedminster a plumber finishing in Southville. The more plumbers who join from across the city, the better it works everywhere. Each area below has its own page on the homes there, getting a plumber to the door, and the jobs that come up most.
