One job per address.
Each job reaches plumbers near that property, not near you.
FOR LANDLORDS
A dripping tap in one flat, a slow drain in another. Fill My Day is being built so small jobs get picked up by a plumber who's already nearby.
IN SHORT
Landlords and property managers will be able to post plumbing jobs with the property's location, photos, access details and timing. Plumbers who are free and nearby reply with a price. You choose one, then arrange access through the app's messages.
AT A GLANCE
How Fill My Day fits the way rental repairs actually happen.
Each job reaches plumbers near that property, not near you.
Arrange keys, times and tenant contact in the app's messages.
Who did what, where, with the review attached.
Qualifications and insurance looked at by a person first.
Rental repairs are usually small, spread across several addresses, and flexible on timing as long as they get done. That's a hard fit for a plumber booking full days, and a good fit for one with a free afternoon nearby. Posting each job with its own address means it reaches plumbers near that property, not near you.
A clear post gets better replies. Include:
EXAMPLE
A tenant in a Fishponds house reports a toilet that won't stop running. The landlord asks for two photos, agrees that the tenant will be in on Thursday afternoon, and posts the job with that window. A plumber working in Staple Hill finishes early, gets sent the job, and replies with a price. The landlord accepts and uses messages to confirm the tenant's name and arrival time.
Don't put your tenant's personal details in a job post. Once you've accepted a price, use the app's messages to pass on what the plumber needs to know, with your tenant's agreement. Give your tenant notice before anyone visits, as you would for any repair.
Tenants can also post jobs themselves. If you'd rather they did, agree in advance who arranges the work and who pays.
Small repairs are easy to lose track of across a portfolio. Each job on Fill My Day has its own address, messages and review, which gives you a simple record of who did what, and where. Keep your own records too, alongside your safety certificates.
Using Fill My Day doesn't change a landlord's responsibilities. For example, landlords must keep installations for water, gas and sanitation in repair and proper working order, and arrange a gas safety check every year, carried out by a Gas Safe registered engineer. If you're not sure what applies to you, check current guidance on GOV.UK.
Plumbers are checked by a person before they can reply to jobs: qualifications and public liability insurance, and Gas Safe registration for gas work. Reviews go both ways after each job. Read how we check plumbers.
Free to use at launch. You agree each price before work starts and pay the plumber directly.
GOOD TO KNOW
Yes. Each job has its own address, so it reaches plumbers near that property.
Yes, tenants can post jobs themselves. Agree first who is arranging the work and who is paying.
Not in the job post. Once you've accepted a price, share what the plumber needs through the app's messages, with your tenant's agreement.
Gas safety checks must be done by a Gas Safe registered engineer. For any gas work, check the engineer is on the Gas Safe Register before you accept a price.
